4 month Doctor's Appointment

Well we had Nick's 4-month doctor's appointment yesterday, and yet again there were needles involved. This time things worked out a lot better. Nick's legs didn't swell up like last time and he was as fussy. It probably has to do with the fact that we gave him some tylenol before the appointment.

Anyway, he has grown 2 cm and is now 66 cm long. His head circumference is 44 cm (only a half cm growth). And his weight is 17 lbs 4 oz, a whole 1 lb 5 oz difference from last time. He is growing like a weed.

Dad and I have to go shopping for a new car seat this weekend, he is going to be too long for his infant seat any day now (since it only goes to 66 cm). We also have to go and look for a high chair. The doctor says that this is the month that we introduce solid foods (starting with cereal -- he recommends rice cereal). I don't know how I feel about introducing solid foods, because I was under the impression that you waited until they were 6 months old before you introduced anything besides breast milk. Dad and I are going to do some more research on this before we start, to see what other people/doctors say. But we will keep you posted, and will post a picture of the first eating experience.
